Winter Favourites

I really wanted to do an October Favoruties for you guys but unfortunately this was impossible for a variety of reasons so I thought I would do a Winter Favourites instead. I love all the seasons, there is something special about each of them, in Spring it starts to get warmer, in Summer I get to reunite with my friends from back home and laze around reading in the sunshine, in Autumn everyone gets a little more daring with their makeup you see berry lips and gorgeous coppery eyes and let's be honest you could be wearing pyjamas under that divine duster coat, and finally Winter . . .

The season of festivity and snow. I go candle mad and Christmas jumper crazy around this time of year, it's not uncommon of me to buy two different Christmas drinks from Costa in one day; I'm completely addicted and I am already dreaming of mulled wine and Winter Wonderland. So without further ado, here are some of my most cherished things for these cold upcoming months. It's a short and sweet one this time, I promise.

I have only recently discovered this brand, I received the pillow spray in the goodie bag haul I did previously but have yet to try it (click here for that monumental haul). After using this cram for a while, I don't think I will be disappointed. It's a hand and body cream designed to help you relax and sleep better. It contains a range of good-for-you ingredients such as lavender (which is widely renowned as aiding sleep), vertivert, chamomile and some pleasure oils. I massage it on my hands and feet and I find that the scent seems to lull me into quite a deep sleep. It is a very nice product. Any lavender cream will do if you're looking for a less expensive option.

Make-up Bag - £7
This make-up bag was a thoughtful gift from my sister from a few years ago. It has unfortunately been tossed aside since then as it already own a bunch. However, my most used makeup bag which is a simple pink bag from Next is looking decidedly tatty these days and I really love the colour and vintage design of this bag. It fits a good amount of makeup in as well. Leave a comment if you would like an updated everyday makeup bag post!

Piggy Bank - £30
Another adorable gift from a friend. I like to save money, and I seem to do a lot more of this during the winter. I need less clothes because my coat covers whatever fabulous attire I am wearing and I live in cosy oversized jumpers and about three pairs of leggings layered over tights ( try it . . .you won't go back). I don't go out as much, I prefer to stay in with my candles and my stuffed Olaf, drink masala chai and watch Modern Family until I realise my love for Phil is getting completely out of control. So all my pretty pennies drop into this beauty and I feel very proud every time I drop a coin in there. I couldn't find the exact one but if you click on the piggy bank link you will find some gorgeous personalised ones from Etsy.

My hair was recently chopped so you could argue that I don't need this, but on the contrary it smells amazing, adds shine as well as preventing damage to the ends. It has a slightly watermelon scent which is incredible. I really reccommend this product, I am trying hard to look after my hair lately.

This a firming, smoothing lotion that has a slight shimmer. I love the almond scent,  it is the perfect pampering product for when you're going out on a date or to a big night out when you want to feel glamorous and perfect. Apply all over the body after exfoliating for J-Lo skin. I sometimes mix a drop or two with my foundation to give it a more dewy look.

Cup-a-Soup - £0.50
A winter must-have everywhere. When you're ill and away from home so you have no one to bring you fresh soup and crusty bread, reach for this. Drink while huddled in a blanket, clutching a hot water bottle with your favourite Christmas candle blazing while you watch the ultimate feel-good movie. Dip the thick bread you usually discard into this and you will feel tonnes better (don't waste food people). Whether you're homesick, actually sick, or just hungry this is an instant pick-me-up. I also like their vegetable version and chicken and leek.

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire - £6.39
I stumbled across this author by accident and I love her. So far I have read Beautiful Disaster, Walking Disaster and Beautiful Oblivion and I just picked up Beautiful Wedding from the library today. These books are definitely targeted at girls, it's about love and romance and all that jazz. It's cute and quick to read and just gives you a lot of feel-good vibes. It reminds me of films like Mean Girls or Ferris Beuller's Day Off, because just like those films I could easily read these books repeatedly.

Thank you so much for reading. If you made it this far, please follow by clicking here. All my social media links are alittlekiran and leave a comment telling me what you love the most about winter. I'll start. . . I love the decorations in the town centres, it feels like there is a bit of sparkle everywhere. Love to you all, and stay safe.
