Lipstick Queen Three to Thrill | Review

I don't know about you but as a keen beauty enthusiast, I love every little bit of makeup, even the cosmetics I don't tend to wear myself which admittedly isn't many. There are two things I struggle with, actually three things, and they are: eyeliner, false eyelashes and lastly lipstick. I am not a bold makeup wearer, I am the Indian essiebutton, and due to my lack of daring I struggle to find lip colours that suit me and consequently just end up buying lipsticks as close to the hue of my natural lips as I can.

Which leads me to this trio from Lipstick Queen that has fixed my problem. They are designed specifically to suit all complexions and each crayon acts as both a lipliner, lipgloss and lipstick. Easy, travel friendly makeup, no muss and no fuss. Plus you have three very pretty, wearable shades. They are moisturising and don't feel sticky, they are sheer enough to suit everybody but at the same time they add enough colour to your lips to liven up your face and complete your flawless makeup.

Another use for these glossy lip crayons is using them as an eyeshadow base, because they are sticky in texture on the skin any shadow or pigment you place on top will last a very long time, plus as they are so sheer it means you can use whatever colour eyeshadow you like and it won't distort the colour. Let me know if you try this and like it!

These three shades are Chase, a sheer lush watermelon, Pink Bluff, a sheer nudish pink, and Catalina, a sheer dusky pink, All pretty and girly, I think it is especially ideal for anyone just getting into makeup or just starting their own makeup collection. You can't go wrong with these as they suit every skin colour and cost £18, not that much when you consider that you are getting three lip products (that's better than a drugstore price!). They feel very moisturising like a balm on the lips, they are enriched with shea butter and give the appearance of a glossy stain. I am not entirely sure how well they would work as a lipliner, but you can definitely build up the colour to make the product more vibrant, you can see the swatches on my lips below.

One thing I will say is that Catalina and Pink Bluff are quite similar, but my favourite is Catalina as I think this dusky pink shade suits me better. I would love to know your favourite lip product in the comments and if you have tried anything from Lipstick Queen. Thank  you for reading, I will see you soon in a Favourites and Christmas Haul post but until then enjoy the rest of 2014.

Love ♥
