Magnificent Makeup Bags

With everyone making new beauty resolutions this year, I thought I would share with you some of the most beautiful makeup bags on the market currently. These are all available at ASOS, which if you are a student and you have an NUS extra card you are able to get 10% off any purchase (except those already reduced). Bearing in mind, some of these are quite expensive but I wanted to include quite a range, from your luxury high-end to your everyday affordable makeup bag. All the links and prices with pictures and descriptions are listed below.

A powder blue glossy makeup bag with a metallic zip and slim bow, you can get this in either black or this stunning baby blue shade. I think Ted Baker bags always look elegant and sophisticated, plus they are easy to keep clean and are timeless.

This is a very pretty, cute striped vanity pouch that is small enough and inexpensive enough to toss into your handbag every day. You could fit your concealer, mascara, lip balm, gloss and lipstick in it easily, with room for eyelash curlers, or brow products. It is the perfect size for your daily essentials and the design is quite stunning. I love the bold colours and the face motif on the top.

Similar to the item above, it has a diagonally striped design and a face motif, the colour of this item is a pale pretty pink, less bold than the one above. Perfect for a girly girl. It's very pretty and feminine and spacious again, you can fit everything you need in there you don't need to just use it for lip products.

Now for a very expensive option, this cute retro bag with red details and a glossy black finish has two zip compartments. You could easily use this as a trendy pencil case, I think it would look gorgeous with a black leather Harrods notebook. It's a modern design perfect for anyone who likes a bit of glamour. I would recommend this only if you are looking to make a statement as £60 is a lot of money, but if you could take good care of it, this bag could last you forever and serve multiple purposes.

A pretty, simple everyday makeup bag that you can take to school or college. I would say this is marketed more for younger girls, but if you like cute twee items then this is definitely for you, or if you are just looking for something affordable and easy on the eye to store your makeup in then this would be a good option. Primark also do some very affordable cosmetic bags usually for around £3.

This dusty pink bag is made with real leather, it boasts the classic shape and style of a Ted Baker design forgoing the bow for a cleaner, minimalist look. This bag is somewhat slimmer and less boxy which I like and the colour is just gorgeous. Again, very expensive but you are paying for quality, if you want a staple item that you know you are going to use and take care of then by all means purchase, but if not there are plenty more fish in the sea.

This eye catching red makeup bag is the epitome of style, it immediately draws the eye and makes me think of Marilyn Monroe. It looks undeniably expensive (because it is), I would use this as a clutch on a night out with an LBD as well as a makeup bag, it is too luxurious not to wear constantly. It has a matte quilted finish, which reminds me of Chanel, a gold tone plate and a brand printed lining. If it's too bold for you, I am certain you can get it in black as well.

Last but not least, this gorgeous quilted mint green makeup bag by Pixi is a great alternative to Ted Baker's powder blue makeup bag that I first mentioned. It is a fraction of the price, is still spacious and lovely and comes in a gorgeous pastel colour. The quilted design is adorable and this would be appropriate for females of all ages (males too, if you like).
