The time has come for this much requested post, just a quick disclaimer that I typically don't receive many Christmas presents in comparison to other bloggers so don't be disappointed that I don't have a list as long as my arm. Regardless, I am ecstatic with my batch of presents this year. I'm not going to include links because they were gifts. Sorry, it just feels wrong.
Face Paint by Lisa Eldridge
Anyone who cares even a tiny smidgeon about makeup will know Lisa Eldridge and that she, oh powerful one, released a book this year all about makeup through the ages. This is a topic that really interests me and after religiously watching her videos for years now I can confidently say that she knows her shit. I cannot wait to dive into this book, plus it's gorgeous so I can use it for the background of my blog photos. Multi-purpose.
Sephora Wishes Come True Palette
This is a cute little limited edition eyes and cheek palette that my sister picked up in Paris. I love Sephora and can often be found crying about how there isn't one in England so it makes me feel really special to have a palette with Sephora on the packaging. Seriously Sephora, come take over Britain soon, okay?
Makeup Revolution HD Loose Powder
Another present from my sister who actually listened to me when I was talking about this powder. I am very excited to try it as baking is a method I have fallen in love with. I hope it lives up to the hype, plus I think Makeup Forever products are simply sublime.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
I have wanted to try this mascara for ages because everyone seemed to be up in arms about how brilliant it is when it was first released. I seemed to constantly talk myself out of buying it because I own so many mascaras it's getting a little ridiculous. I tried it for the first time today and have been pretty impressed so far. As it is the waterproof version, I am a little concerned about taking it off.
L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation in Honey
Another product I have been desperate to try, as someone with combination/oily skin this foundation seems like it would be perfect for me. It does look like quite heavy coverage which I am not used to, but the reviews are always positive and I can always lessen the coverage with a moisturiser. I'll let you know my thoughts on this very soon.
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette
Finally, a gift to myself is the Gwen Stefani palette from Urban Decay. I couldn't not have this in my life, for obvious reasons, I mean, just look at it.
I did get other bits and bobs but these were the items that seemed relevant to my blog. I had a great Christmas and New Years, both were relaxed and fun, completely pressure-free. I would love to know what your favourite Christmas presents were, just leave a comment below.
