Deepika Padukone | Mastani

Deepika Padukone plays a warrior princess in the film Bajirao Mastani and she looks so naturally beautiful that every female in the world has been frantically searching on how to get "this look". Simply put, Deepika looks gorgeous because she is gorgeous. She doesn't appear to be wearing much makeup just enough to give her a healthy glow, even skin and full brows after watching countless tutorials claiming to recreate her look I thought I would do a post myself for you to be the Mastani version of yourself.

The best tip I can give is just to keep it simple. Your base is the most important step in your makeup routine which means you should be looking after your skin as well as applying a foundation that matches you and suits your skin type. Cleanse your face using vitamin infused products to give your skin a boost, I love the Vitamin C range from The Body Shop, Use a moisturiser that suits your skin, if you're oily you need to use an oil-free moisturiser, my favourite is from Benefit. If you have dry skin a richer moisturiser is needed, such as Kiehl's Ultra Facial cream.

A very lightweight foundation or BB cream with sheer but buildable coverage is the perfect base. Use concealer sparingly to brighten your under eyes and conceal any prominent blemishes, but do this carefully with a very light hand and ensure that you blend out. Set the area of your face that get oily with a finely milled powder, be careful not to use too much by applying loose powder with a fluffy eyeshadow brush.

To keep things super natural, skip any contouring if you feel your face looks to flat add some warm bronzer lightly to the cheeks, temples and jawlines. Highlight your cheeks to lift your cheekbones, this could be done with a cream or powder as long as it leaves a nice sheen and not a streak of pigment. Blend your entire base together so there are no lines and everything looks seamless. If it looks like there is too much product on their face separate a two ply tissue and press it into the skin. This action will pick up any excess product and you can add a cream highlight at the end.

Anastasia Beverly Hills are brow gods, use a mix of the powder to fill in the sparse hairs and the Brow Wiz to make the front of the brows more rounded like Deepika's. Brows are very personal so do whatever you are comfortable with which best frames your face.

Using a warm brown shadow, this could be a bronzer or contouring shade, I would use Sable from the Lorac Pro palette and blend that with a MAC 217 all over the lid, Using a matte cream shadow to highlight the brow bone and inner corner, move onto curling the lashes well and applying mascara. You want the mascara to look as natural as possible so a separating mascara would be best, clean the wand of as much of the product as possible and then run it through your lashes. If your lashes tend to clump, use and eyelash comb between layers to keep the lashes separated.

A lip balm is all that is needed but if you want to take it a step further add a natural lip liner, a your lips but better colour and then dab a clear lip balm on top. Focus on the centre and this will make your lips look just slightly plumper.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any other looks you would like me to recreate for you just let me know in the comments. Don't forget to follow and comment, it really means a lot to me. Take care.

Love ♥
