It's January, holy hell, I hope you all had a brilliant New Years and have set yourself some goals for this leap year. So far, whenever I have approached my friends about their resolutions I consistently receive a negative response. "Resolutions are a waste of time, they are unrealistic . . .", the list goes on. I think that is an utterly appalling mindset for the beginning of a new year, I love setting both realistic and unrealistic goals because right at the start of January I always feel like anything is possible. So don't be disheartened, who says you can't do any of the things you want to? Never limit yourself. Now into the reason for this post: makeup brushes.
On a completely unrelated note, I wanted to share my two favourite makeup brushes of the year. One is the Airbuki Bamboo brush from Tarte Cosmetics. It is actually tiny and perfect. It buffs foundation seamlessly onto your face and always distributes the perfect amount of product so your face always look perfect and real. It can never be too much with this brush. I use it for liquid and mineral foundations, I have also used it to apply powder. It is brilliant, also Kylie Jenner uses this brush.
The next brush I have unexpectedly fallen in love with is the Pro Curve Powder contour brush from Makeup Revolution. I was unconvinced by the short dense bristles initially, but the shape of this brush fits perfectly in the hollows of my cheeks. More importantly, however it makes my nose contour take mere seconds. It is not good for blending out your contour, I use a fluffy powder brush to do that.
Those are my two favourite makeup brushes. I really want to buy some Morphe Brushes, especially their eyeshadow brushes as they have a great selection of crease brushes for the eyes. In addition, I have been intrigued by the Artis Brushes for ages now and eventually I will get some. In an ideal world I would buy all of the Wayne Goss brushes as well, because he is the makeup king in my opinion. Let me know in the comments below what makeup brushes you have been loving in recent months, or even across the whole year, and what brushes you want in your life? Thank you so much for reading, it has been a while since I posted but I really needed some downtime to just spend with my family and friends while I had time off work. Stay tuned for many more posts this week. Take care.
