BUILD YOUR OWN KYLIE COSMETICS KYSHADOW BRONZE PALETTE WITH MAKEUP GEEK DUPES

So Kylie Jenner’s Bronze Kyshadow Palette sold out in one minute, is what I am hearing, it costs $42 and has a gorgeous assortment of mattes, shimmers, cool and warm toned wearable shades. However, I would not pay $42 for a palette especially as in the UK would have to fork out a small fortune just to get it delivered to your door. Not on, mate. So let’s discuss dupes instead, although I personally do not possess any Makeup Geek shades I have it on good authority that they are of fantastic quality and a blogger favourite. So here are some Morphe dupes, which are slightly cheaper than MUG but it is my understanding that they can be quite hit and miss with their formulas and pigmentation. Without further ado, let’s build our own Kyshadow Bronze palette

These shadows are not exactly the same but they are as similar as I could get, again I am basing this on their descriptions and images I have seen online so if they swatch differently at home apologies, I am sure the blogging community will come through and point out any better alternative shadows to the ones I have suggested. So if you think any of these shadows are completely wrong don't hesitate to sound off in the comments, teach me your ways. Makeup Geek shadows are $6 and £5, I have provided links to the shadows but if you're in the UK you can find them here.

These are the nine shadows I found closest to the Kyshadow colours. Vanilla Bean is a peachy beige matte and similar to Kylie's Jasper (matte finish creamy beige). Starry Eyed is a foiled shadow ($10/£8), so more metallic than Kylie's satin finish Quartz but it was the closest to a champagne gold shimmer on the site. Next is Barcelona Beach, personally I wouldn't describe Kylie's Topaz as a "true taupe", it looks more like a medium brown, Latte from MUG is also similar. Glamorous is a shimmery bronze gold, therefore comparable to Kylie's Goldstone (satin finish bronze). Morocco a beautiful vibrant orange would make a stunning replacement for Kylie's Citrine (matte finish bright orange). Frappe is similar to Kylie's Tiger Eye (matte medium light brown). Cocoa Bear is my favourite Makeup Geek shade a reddish brown matte, similar to Kylie's Hematite (matte finish chest brown). Cherry Cola is a beautiful deep brown with red undertones, it almost looks purple and is similar to Kylie's Bronze (matte finish chocolate brown). Last but not least, Corrupt Makeup Geek's blackest black is an alternative to Kylie's Onyx.

  1. Great post, Kiran. I don't really buy high-end makeup much, and I wouldn't pay $42 for a palette and I live in the US, lol! Dupes are always good enough for me - love finding a decent dupe at a reasonable price.

  3. Such great dupes! I'm from the uk too and also refuse to pay so much for the Kylie products;the customs cost more than the product! So not worth it when there are many gorgeous cheaper options. Thanks for sharing x

  5. Great post! I really like the shades she has in her palette, but most of them are repeats in my collection (or everyones maybe), and having the dupes in individual form makes it easier to save money, I'll just get the ones I don't have :) Morroco and Starry Eyed are calling my name! I love how much effort you put into your blog, keep it as amazing as it is <3

  9. That is a great post, Kiran! The Kylie palette doesn't look very unique to me so I'm sure we can easily find dupes and MUG eyeshadows are great quality! x
