CHARLOTTE TILBURY SCENT OF A DREAM NEW FRAGRANCE

Charlotte Tilbury is an unstoppable force and she is launching new products left right and centre. I am still reeling from the release of her Legendary Brows and Legendary Mascara so to hear she is now launching a fragrance has stopped me in my tracks. You can see the bottle of the Scent of a Dream above, and read a review of the fragrance here. The new scent will be available online and in stores from August 15th, you can sign up on Selfridges and the Charlotte Tilbury website if you want to be first in line. The uniquely shaped fragrance will be available to purchase in three sizes: 10ml (£49), 50ml (£68) and 100ml (£96). I will admit that upon first seeing the bottle, about ten minutes ago, I wasn't too impressed. It doesn't make me gasp in awe like a Marc Jacobs fragrance does, however Vogue describes it as being a "faceted, talisman-like flacon". What the hell is a flacon?

A flacon is "a small, stoppered bottle, used especially for perfume". I think the design of the bottle is supposed to immerse you back into the world of glamour and intrigue of the sixties. It is a bottle you could imagine Marilyn Monroe fondling at her vanity. Like all CT products, this fragrance is built on the secret scent she has been wearing for years. It is a sexy scent with notes of floral and sandalwood and is designed to "intice a desire you can't control". The ultimate man-catching fragrance perhaps. It certainly seems to be a conversation starter, Jane from British Beauty Blogger, when wearing the scent at dinner said her companion couldn't stop smelling her arm.
The permanently delightful Kate Moss is the face of this perfume, you can see one of the photographs above, Kate is the perfect choice in my opinion. Charlotte Tilbrury is renowned across the world but she is British, so it warms my heart to see Kate Moss representing this scent. In addition, Kate has been a muse for Charlotte for some of her lipsticks and they have a great personal relationship. Thank you so much for reading, Hope you're having a lovely Monday so far. Take care.

Do you think you'll buy Scent of a Dream?

Love
Kiran

  1. I actually think that the bottle is pretty cute! It's such a nice, elegant design. I also really adore sandalwood in perfumes, so this scent would probs be right up my alley. :) I haven't tried it yet but I'd love to! Thanks for sharing, hun. x Your pics are so pretty!

  2. Kate Moss is a stunning editorial model, she's not quite the catwalk type but for editorial, she's perfection. Perfume is very tricky to me, I definitely need to give it a sniff first before purchasing. I recently received a sample of Tom Ford Neroli perfume which was raved about by so many and I hated it! It smells like an overpowering powder laundry detergent to me. LOL!

    1. Haha yes! I don't get a long with many fragrances tbh like I hated the Marc Jacobs Decadence fragrance which is so annoying because the bottle is exquisite xxx

  3. I absolutely love perfumes ! I have way too many but still tend to always purchase more. I guess some women buy shoes, I buy perfumes.
The bottle itself is gorgeous, and I think that says alot for the scent. I imagine it to be very sultry and classy at the same time.

I could see myself splurging on it for sure. :)

  5. Ooh, I quite like the bottle design, it kinda reminds me of a ballerina? And I think it could double up as a pretty little piece of room decor! I adore floral scents so I'll definitely try and get a little tester or sniff somehow. Someone needs to hurry up and invent smellovision for the internet!

  6. Love this post, I think Kate is the perrrrrfect choice for the campaign and can't wait for Legendary Brows either! I wonder how they'll compete with Benefit. I'll definitely be stealing smells at the perfume counter at least!

  7. The shape of the bottle is so gorgeous. The notes of this perfume are quite pleasant. I used to buy Hugo Boss Perfumes since last two years. I think now I will buy this perfume for my wife. By the way, thanks for sharing this review.
