Kylie Jenner is releasing her first ever eyeshadow palette today, predictably named KYSHADOW. Her first palette, there are two more in the making that we will see before the end of this year, is the Bronze palette containing nine decently sized pans of neutral mattes and shimmers with a gorgeous warm orange in the centre to tie all the colours together. The packaging is cardboard and features a lovely sketch of her eyes. I have to admit that even though I haven't tried, or even been tempted by, any of her lip kits this palette has certainly caught my eye. It does look like the perfect neutral palette. If you have brown eyes, I think these colours have just the right amount of warmth and almost reddish undertones to really compliment them. Watch her video and makeup tutorial:
She admits that she has been working on this for a while, so fingers crossed everything will go smoothly with this launch, and has been wearing this palette on her own eyes for the past six months. The shade names are interesting, the black is called Obsidian, there is a shade called Jasper and another called Gold Stone. So overall there is no running theme with the eyeshadow names, which I have to admit is slightly disappointing. Wouldn't it be cool if all the names began with K? I don't know how much it costs at the moment, the general consensus is slightly more than her lip kits. Below are swatches of all nine shadows, I think they look beautiful but time will tell.
Thank you so much for reading, let me know in the comments what you think about Kylie's foray into the eyeshadow world. I am quite excited to hear what people think about it, I really hope it is good. I know in a previous post I critcised her business acumen and lack of care when it came to her brand, but at the same time I don't think she should be robbed a chance to redeem herself. So hopefully this will be a success for everybody. We all know it is going to sell out milliseconds. Take care.
What do you think of this new launch, will you buy it?
