SUNDAY SYNOPSIS | AMAZING HACKS TIJAN BOOKS FAT MASCARA CHAMPAGNE GLOW AND BUBBLE MASKS

@kaushalbeauty from YouTube
I love a catchy title and I am extremely proud of my Sunday Synopsis idea. A few bloggers I follow have a weekly roundup of some sort where they share their most popular posts and links they have been loving so I thought I would do something similar. It is no secret that I am an avid consumer of all beauty related news, I spent half of my life watching YouTube videos and what better platform to share what I have loved this week than my blog.

Firstly: hack videos. I am sceptical when it comes to hack videos, be it life, beauty or hair, I just roll my eyes and think I have heard it all before because usually I have. Recently, I discovered Wengie who is the cutest woman ever and she has been posting a lot of amazing hack videos. I watched her hair hack video and was gobsmacked because I didn’t even think of doing half of these things. My hair game is so weak, you can watch the full video below I highly recommend it.

If you know me, or if you’ve read my tiny bio to the right, you’ll know I struggle to fall sleep. I don’t know why but I have always found it difficult to fall asleep so I read a lot. I can read a full book every night, that’s just always been me. I read the Fallen Crest Series by Tijan which I enjoyed for the most part and I discovered a different series by the same author: Broken and Screwed. I finished the first book last night and have downloaded the second one for tonight. I don’t love it as much as Fallen Crest, but there are many similarities. Let me know if you would like a review/discussion of any of these books because I have a lot of opinions already.

Fat Mascara has changed my life. I love this podcast. I listen to it every day and have learnt so much from Jen and Jess as well as their many high calibre guests like Sir John Queen B's makeup artist. It is a must-listen for every beauty fanatic. The only trouble is I listened to all the episodes within a week and now only get a new one every seven days, if you have any recommendations for podcasts let me know in the comments please. I have already compiled a list of podcasts to try out after doing my own research (and for a future post) but I would love to know which ones you like too.

Champagne Face Palette. I pre-ordered this palette the second it was up on the Space NK website. It arrived while I was in Barcelona (nope still haven’t written a single sentence on this, please bear with me) and I haven’t touched it. I don’t know why. I keep reading how amazing it is, it might be because I am not much of a blush/highlight person, I can take or leave both of them. For a while I considered doing a giveaway with it but it was £48 and every post I have read seems to rave about it. What are your thoughts on the palette? Should I dive in? Do a giveaway? Return it? What do I do?

Bubble Clay  Masks. Last but not least: bubble masks are a thing. Kaushal Beauty even dedicated a video to this new phenomenon (you can watch the video below) which I posted on my Instagram. It looks gimmicky but so cool and unique. It is fascinating to me how skincare previously was considered so boring and now it’s the talk of the town. Skincare is everything. What are your favourite face masks? I want to try a few, the ones I hear the most about contain glycolic acid so I wonder if any of you have must have ingredients in your skincare routine. Let me know below!

Thank you so much for reading that is a wrap for this week. Technically, it is Monday here in the UK, but it is Sunday somewhere so the title is sticking. Sunday Synopsis will be here to stay, and they will continue to be chatty, informal summaries of what I discovered, loved and hated during the week. I hope you like this and jump on board with me keeping this as a permanent segment. I really want this post in particular to encourage you all to share what you have loved this week. Interacting with you guys is the funnest part of my blog for me, I want to hear what you have been reading, listening to and talking about, so please share that with me in the comments. As always, if you like my content you can follow me on Bloglovin’ and that way you never miss a post of mine. I leave all my links below so click any of them and they open in a new window. Hope you have a great week. Take care.

Please share any recommendations for podcasts, books, skincare or makeup...

Love ❤
Kiran

  7. I have the Becca fFace Palette and initially I was over the moon with it but the more I use it, the more underwhelmed I am with it. It's okay but not worth the hype for me. On to favourite masks, I am seriously in love with Super Facialist by Una Brennan (Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask), it's reasonably priced and leaves my skin feeing so soft, hydrated and fresh. I'm also a huge fan of b·liv sheet masks in general, seriously some of the best that I have ever tried.

  9. I must say, I did find that bubble mask video entertaining but have a hard time believing that the product actually provides better results than a diy charcoal mask or yogurt mask... anyway, I just watched that hair hacks video earlier :) It's a good oone

  12. Finally! Someone who thinks the same about 'Hack' videos, everyone seems to love them. I don't know how they keep getting millions of views when everyone posts the same ridicolous hacks, I mean, no, I don't want to put my mascara in my bra for 10 minutes. Everytime I watch one popping out in my recommendations I just roll my eyes, haha, I'm just that grumpy. But I watched Wengies video and I think she shared many things I didn't know and that could actually help, I really liked it. I think you should try that palette, if everyone thinks it is THAT amazing, maybe it will transform you into a highlight/blush person :)

  19. Your eyelashes are incredible, my stick straight Korean lashes and I are so envious! Bubble masks are great yet mad aren't they? I'm loving all the sheet mask innovations around atm, Have you tried the peeling masks that come with a swab? Addicted to them!
