Summer is all about transforming ourselves into Grecian goddesses by any means possible. Luckily, all the major beauty brands seem to have our backs in this endeavour, we are indisputably spoilt for choice when it comes to highlighters, illuminators, tanning products and body shimmer. Soap & Glory released a Diamond Edition (£8) of their popular Righteous Body Butter (one of my favourite body products, and currently £8 at Boots - not £10) on the 3rd August. I didn’t even know they were “putting a bling on it” until I strolled into Boots this morning and saw rows and rows of this new body butter.

My curiosity got the better of me and I had to have a closer look. My first impressions were that it smelt just as amazing as the original Righteous Butter, fortunately as their scents are always so spot-on: sweet without being an overkill. You can visibly see the flecks of “diamond powder” in the cream which piqued my interest. The consistency is smooth and thinner than the original in my opinion. It went on and blended easier than the ordinary Righteous Butter, which I find I have to really work into my skin, right away I felt hydrated and moisturised. The consistency, smell and almost liquid-like texture were all huge positives. The only thing I disliked about this product is the shimmery residue it leaves on the skin. It looks like glitter which I personally am not into, I wanted something that would give my skin a bright, healthy, slightly wet looking sheen not look like I accidentally spilled Barry M’s Dazzle Dust in Silver (£4.59) on my arm. Below, you can see it in action on my hand; too intense and obviously "product-induced" for my liking, but that's just me.

However, as it is called the Diamond Dust Edition then this sparkling, Edward Cullen shitty CGI effect (this is not me reading the product, this is me reading the Twilight franchise for their awful special effects and general suckiness) might be exactly what you are looking for. In that case, it certainly delivers. It's not natural but it definitely packs a punch, and arguably leaves a cool effect.

Thank you for reading, I hope you liked this review. It's been an insanely busy week for me and lately I just haven't been feeling my best. I have a few posts in mind that I want to write up but it is important to me that they're perfect before I upload them. I hope you all understand, I haven't been as on the ball as I would like to be, I guess, my confidence has taken a knock. Thank you always for you patience and constant support, you can follow me on the links below if you wish. Take care.

Do you like a different body moisturiser in the summer?

  2. Oooo, I actually like the glittery finish because it would look sexy on a night out! But this is definitely not something that can be used daily.

  7. What's not to love? From food to clothing, shopping has never been easier however when it comes to purchasing diamond jewellery it appears as though many of us somewhat fear going online. diamond stores in phoenix
