It's September, this month is already proving to be just as hectic as last month and it has been two days. Apologies for my recent slacking but hopefully I am back on the ball now. Here are a few products I have recently been obsessed with using, a few are brand new and some are rediscoveries. I have fallen in love with makeup in a big way this past month, because I have been applying it on others as well as myself and have to say it is one of the most enjoyable experiences in the world.
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation (£11) Still one of the best foundations I have ever tried, it's sheer but buildable and leaves a wonderful natural skin-like finish with a luminous glow. Despite being dewy it is still suitable for oily skins (like me) and once powdered lasts all day. My favourite thing is how this wears throughout the day, especially in the heat. For me, it's the type of foundation that just looks better the longer you wear it.
Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence (£54-70) For what it is this product is stupidly expensive, however I got it with the Daily Essentials Skincare Kit and my favourite way to use this product is to spritz my beauty sponge with it. Just a simple timesaver in the mornings, although now I know how expensive it is I don't think I will be using it in this way anymore. Shockingly overpriced but a nice product. It smells good and feels refreshing on the skin first thing in the morning.
Lipstick Queen Chinatown in Catalina (£22) I adore sheer lip products so of course the Chinatown collection is right up my street. I purchased this in a Holiday Collection and loved it. Another rediscovery, A sheer subtle pink on the lips that completes and compliments any makeup look.
Sigma E40 Blending Shadow Brush (£11.75) My favourite eyeshadow brush of all time, ideal for a wash of colour or seamlessly blending elaborate eye looks. The kind of brush that can work for any eye shape, it's beautifully fluffy and efficient.
LA Girl Pro Concealers (£4) These are all over Instagram and are a favourite among many high profile bloggers for cream contouring. I have never really cream contoured but because it is wedding season and I need something to make me excited for spending so much time with people I thought I would try them out. I love how affordable they are and hot damn they are pigmented. I will do a full review with swatches soon. The shades I chose were Creamy Beige and Beautiful Bronze and I have definitely enjoyed using them. They make such a difference.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette (£41) I haven't gotten to play with is properly just yet but I have been obsessed with looking at it. The matte shades are already becoming staples in my daily makeup routine. I particularly like Cyprus Umber for every day and a few other shades like Burnt Orange are colours I am keen to play around with.
The Body Shop Down To Earth Glow Palette (£22) For most of the month this has been my go-to eyeshadow palette because it is so neutral it is like the answer to all my prayers. For every day this has been the palette I reach for ever since I got it.
Urban Decay Vice 4 Eyeshadow Palette (£43) Do you see these colours? Urban Decay will always and forever be my favourite brand for eyeshadow. Whenever there is a wedding I feel compelled to pull out all the bright colours and what I love about their palettes is they all inspire and encourage users to be creative and a little bit daring. I just love UD.
Thank you so much for reading, don't forget to leave me a comment and follow me on Bloglovin' if you are not already. Lots of love, I hope whatever you are doing you all have fun this weekend. I am going to sleep as much as humanly possible and try and squeeze a few fun activities in before my brother starts school next week. He goes back to school on his birthday, how awful. This summer has just flown by, it will be Christmas before we know it. Crazy. Hope you enjoyed this post. Take care.
What are your plans for this weekend and your August faves?
