The most stunning berry toned look I have ever seen by makeupbypree. With autumn already almost over and the festive season just starting to heat up, I know everyone is up in arms about the John Lewis Christmas ad, what more perfect time to embrace all shades of red from the palest cranberry wash to the deepest, richest burgundy man can find? This post seems appropriate in light of all the current popular eyeshadow palettes like the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette (review here), ABH Modern Renaissance (review here) and the Kyshadow Burgundy Palette (review here and dupes post here). Pree kindly shared the details of the mesmerising look you see above which was achieved with none other than the Modern Renaissance Palette. The shadows used were Burnt Orange and Realgar in the crease, Red Ochre and Venetian Red mixed together on the lid and Cyprus Umber on the outer corners. Here are 5 makeup tutorials with berry inspired eyes, enjoy.
BAILEY SARIAN METALLIC RED EYE
First is the gorgeous Bailey Sarian, she deserves so many more followers on YouTube. love her tutorials and her personality too, she's so down to earth and sincere, doesn't take herself too seriously and creates some badass makeup looks. This dramatic metallic red eye look is fun and a little out there but perfect if you're feeling a little Christmassy. Watch the dazzling makeup tutorial below:
LINDA HALLBERG AUTUMN HALO EYE
The amazing Linda Hallberg created this stunning three dimensional autumb Burgundy look with the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette (review here). Like all of Linda's looks this appears detailed and complex and impossible to achieve but is actually quite easy. The shades she uses are Bossy on the outer and inner corners, like a halo eye, and on the lower lash line. In the centre she uses the metallic red shade Fling, applying with a finger, and Bossy on a blending brush to diffuse the outer edges. Finally taking Angelic (a pinkish gold pearl) on the inner corner and the very centre of the lid. This focuses on eye looks but I am in love with the gorgeous deep purple lip she wears too, which is the Viva La Diva Matte Lip Tint in Cassis, watch the stunning autumnal tutorial below:
AMANDA ENSING WEARABLE CRANBERRY SPARKLE
Another tutorial using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette by Amanda Ensing. I discovered her channel whilst searching for relevant tutorials and really enjoyed this look. She uses Raw Sienna as a transition shade and then applies Love Letter with a denser crease brush dragging it to the inner and outer parts of the eye lid. She also uses Cherry Cola from Makeup Geek in the crease. On the lid she applies the foiled shadow Showtime from Makeup Geek. Tutorial:
SAMANTHA CHAPMAN (PIXIWOO) BERRY EYES FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Watching Sam, from pixiwoo and realtechniques, apply makeup is like therapy for me. I just can't get enough I find it so soothing because she so obviously knows what she is doing. This look is gorgeous, she uploaded it on her Real Techniques channel which is annoying because they don't always mention the products because it is solely to demonstrate how their brushes can be used. But like any tutorial if you possess anything similar use that instead and you should get a similar result.
BELLA FIORI BURGUNDY WINGED EYELINER
Last but not least, the stunning Isabella Fiori (Bella Fiori on YouTube) this look is slightly darker, vampier but is still burgundy/red toned because of her genius touch of winged liner. Who knew burgundy eyeliner looked so killer with brown eyes? Bella used Burnt Orange and Warm Taupe, both found in the Modern Renaissance Palette and Bitten from Makeup Geek. For the beautiful eyeliner and matching burgundy lip: Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Heathers ($20).
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post. I am so excited for Christmas already and have fallen in love with all these berry toned looks with pops of metallic or fierce liner. This is such a great time of year to play around with makeup and metallics, everyone seems a little bolder this time of year. I would love to know what your favourite eyeshadow palette right now is, let me know in the comments and of course follow me on Bloglovin', Instagram and Twitter all my links are below. First of all, I love the makeup looks you've shared! So gorgeous. And my favorite makeup palette, I remember buying a a dupe of the Naked Palette before from Forever 21... It isn't available now. I don't know why they discontinued it. :(

DeleteWow, these makeup looks are amazing! I love to use berry tones on my eye makeup but softer ones, I do not dare to use bright and intense eye shadow yet (I want to so bad) and I think I need to practise a little more to achieve the perfect berry eye look!!

DeleteThese look so good. I love berry shades anyway (I own way too many burgundy jumpers!) but I´m always afraid that I look sick wearing them on my eyes. Now I definitely know how to start any berry eye makeup!

I liked the Isabella Fiori palette the best. The eyelines is very pretty and I could imagine wearing it myself. What I don't like in this looks is the lipsticks.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and thanks so much for the inspiration!
Cheers my darling,

My favourite eyeshadow palette has to be my custom one with contains MUG and ABH shadows :P the quality is fantastic - which it should be considering the prices of each individual shade! Great tutorials you've shared, I have a soft spot for reddish looks like these too and since getting the ABH modern renaissance palette, I have made a whole youtube playlist dedicated to tutorials using it!
