So 2016 is over and in true blogger fashion this means I have to run through all the products I have been loving this year. I am en route to New York right now so please follow me on Bloglovin' so you know when I post next. I won't be able to promote as much as usual and it would make me very happy if you decided to follow my blog. I will be posting every other day so be sure to check back. I will be going through in order of makeup application but skipping primer because I don't use it daily.
FOUNDATION | L'OREAL TRUE MATCH (£10)
Complete new discovery for me and now I understand why everyone raves about it so much. 5W is the perfect shade for me, it lasts and looks natural on the skin, is lightweight and the perfect every day foundation. I have been reaching for it every day.
CONCEALER | TARTE SHAPE TAPE (£19)
Hands down the most pigmented concealer I have ever used. Blends easily and looks flawless. There is a reason this concealer is in absolutely everyone's best of 2016 videos and posts. I have yet to find a concealer that compares to this. My best drugstore concealer is the Maybelline Age Rewind (£8).
SETTING POWDER | VICHY DERMABLEND (£15)
I have quite oily skin and have noticed that other powders and foundations settle prominently into my smile lines. It looks awful but this powder prevents that from happening and is the only one that seems to do it. I love it more than the RCMA and Makeup Forever translucent powders.
CONTOUR | BARRY M CHISEL CHEEKS IN MEDIUM/DARK (£6.50)
If I am being honest the Sleek Contour Kit will always blow every other contour powder out of the water. I love it so much, but this was such a great find that I couldn't let it be ignored. The Barry M Chisel Cheeks Powder Contour Kit is stunning, I use all three shades which I cannot say about the Sleek Face Form Kit. Both their light and dark palettes are fantastic, highly recommend them.
EYESHADOW | MASTER PALETTE (OS) AND HUDA BEAUTY ROSE GOLD (£56)
Eyeshadow palettes are truly the most exciting for me, there were some amazing palettes released this year and out of all of them my top two battling it out for first place are the Master Palette by Mario from Anastasia Beverly Hills and the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette. If I was held at gunpoint, I would say the Huda Beauty has the slightest edge as it isn't as powdery.
BLUSH | BECCA AMARETTO (£32 FOR SPLIT PAN)
Blush is something I could happily live without but the Amaretto Blush from Becca Cosmetics is the most stunning colour. So flattering on my Indian skin, it looks healthy and pretty, suitable for any and all makeup looks. It just adds life to my skin.
LIPS | BURT'S BEES LIP BALM IN VANILLA BEAN (£4)
I have found a few lip products that have impressed me this year, surprisingly, but my tried and true Burt's Bees lip balm is something I always come back to. Best lip balm ever. You need it.
EYELINER | NYC LIQUID EYELINER IN BLACK (£2)
It's cheap, black, matte and long-lasting. What more could you want from a liquid eyeliner?
Thank you for reading. Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin', sorry to keep banging on about it but I worked so hard to schedule posts while I am away even though this trip has been the most stressful situation in the world that it would be a shame to see that no one reads it. Lots of love. Take care.
