Not too long ago, I reviewed the Kathleen Lights x Morphe Palette (post here) but actually that was not my first Morphe purchase. The first Morphe product I bought was from Beauty Bay and it was the E1 Deluxe Powder Brush (£18.25/$22.99). Morphe doesn't have the best reputation. They are known as the "social media brand" because their marketing strategy consists of pushing their products through influencers and allowing said influencers to earn commission. There have also been concerns about private labelling and just a general question of their integrity and the quality of their products. I made the purchase of this brush on a whim, their Elite Brush Collection always receives stellar reviews and are touted as being the best brushes in their collection.
Personally, I really like the brush. It is so soft I wish I could sleep on it, it is big and dense perfect for buffing or pressing powder into the skin. I love using this brush especially with pressed powders, with loose powders it can get a little messy as the bristles are so tightly packed together you really have to push the product into the skin. I wouldn't recommend using it for cream products because of the sheer size of the brush, it works with powders best. It would also work well with bronzer, if you just want to bronze up the skin because of the domed shape which lets you blend easily. My face is quite small so I don't use it for this purpose as the brush is too big.
Overall, I am glad I got this brush because I use it every single day and love how it feels on my skin. I love how it looks too, the synthetic bristles are a mishmash of intricate colours that make it more appealing than the standard black or white. I will say for an "affordable" brand the price is a little up there. I do think you get an excellent quality brush but there are other brush companies than create good brushes for less money. Personally, I don't have a brush like this in my collection and I don't know how I have lived without it. I don't like the price, or the brand very much if I am being completely honest. but the brush is perfection. Thank you for reading, guys. Take care.
What are your favourite brushes?
Love ❤
Kiran
*I am probably the only one who doesn't have an affiliate code for Morphe, sorry guys.
Their brushes are such great quality!

Thank you for reading Candice xxx
DeleteThank you for addressing the whole skepticism about Morphe. I don't really care about private labeling but it does annoy me when people lie about it. I agree that the price does seem a bit high for an "affordable" brand but the brush sounds like it's worth it :) Thanks for your honest review, Kiran!

Thank you Mili! You always leave the kindest comments xxx
DeleteI agree with Mili, thank you for addressing the elephant in the room or so to speak. Personally I stay away from Morphe because it's a social media brand and like you, I think the price is a tad too high for my liking.

I am so addicted to makeup brushes, I just keep buying them. I am obsessed x
DeleteI only had their M501 brush I believe, but it was so bad I ended up getting rid of it. This one, however, seems so soft and lovely! Thanks for the review Kiran xx

Thank you Naya (I love your name so much) and the Elite collection seems to be much nicer than their typical brushes, but I haven't tried them myself so can't compare x
DeleteWow that's quite expensive for a brush but going by your review, it seems to be worth the money so yay ! Nice post Kiran. xx
