Lip oils and plumping products had their moment a while back, but like all parties I am late. I wanted to dip my toe into the more affordable side of the ocean and so when I saw that Barry M Cosmetics have both lip oils and a plumping gloss on offer I swooped up both. Originally, I intended to purchase two lip oils from the brand but the other one they sell was out of stock. Both of these products apply clear and have a scent. I mentioned the That's Swell Lip Plumping Gloss (£5) in my recent June Favourites and Fails (read here) because I love it. It smells and tastes like peppermint, induces a slight tingling on the lips but nothing unpleasant and leaves a nice shine. I have been using it non-stop since I bought it. Unfortunately, the Coco Lip Oil (£5) isn't my favourite. I love that it smells like coconuts, but I don't find it to be hydrating at all. I expect a lip oil to deliver intense hydration without being sticky and make the lips appear smooth. This just felt like a layer of something thick sitting on my mouth. I don't like the wands for any of them because they are just like thin sticks. I would prefer a teardrop applicator or something with more cushion.
Thank you for reading my quick review. I have heard the Clarins Lip Oils are incredible and that the Soap & Glory Lip Plumpers are excellent as well. I hope you guys are all having a great week so far, we are already half way through so hang in there. Enjoy the rest of your day and leave a comment below please. Don't forget to check out my social media accounts. Take care.
What is your go-to everyday lip product?
It's a shame about the lip oil - I'd expect it to be hydrating too! xx

DeleteI have never bought into the whole lip plumping thing because they only work temporarily I believe? Also I'm lucky to have a good lips hence one thing less for me to buy. LOL!

Yes definitely very temporary, but honestly I just like it as a gloss. I love the minty tingle and it's not sticky and just makes my lips look smooth and nice x
DeleteI have not tried these yet however, I think reading your review, I will be able to use these in better way.
