FIRST IMPRESSIONS | VEGAN MAKEUP LINE B. BEAUTY AT SUPERDRUG

The only product I have tried from B. Makeup is their sponge which is such a great dupe for the beauty blender. It is shaped the exact same, super soft, gorgeous texture and costs only £5. I was contacted by a member of their PR team who kindly offered to send me some of their revamped line that has been repackaged and spruced up. The packaging is sleek, black and plastic. Right off the bat everything felt lovely, all the formulas seem comparable to high end products and I have been really impressed with not only the quality but also the colours. I also have my eye on some of their other products. For swatches of everything keep reading, I discuss what I think is worth getting and what you can skip. Even though these products were sent to me, my review is unbiased and unfiltered.

You all know I am not a huge lipstick fan, I owned about four until a few months ago and they are all the same shade of browny nude. Recently, I have been stepping out of my comfort zone rocking a lavender lip and have been lucky enough to receive several PR packages that have expanded my lip product range. I have a worryingly large collection of metallic liquid lipsticks, guys. For me, a lipstick should be comfortable and easy to wear in a flattering shade. No bleeding, no settling into fine lines and no weird taste or scent.

They have a lot of colours. Out of the six lipsticks I was sent, three of them could be considered nudes or off-nudes. I also have a few bright shades for when I am feeling daring. The texture of all of them is creamy and soft. They feel so nice and comfortable on the lips and they are a little more long-wearing than the average lipstick in my opinion. They don't just smear off if you touch your lips but they won't withstand a nuclear war. I got about five hours wear out of them, three hours for the nudes and of course the way you apply them and the activities you participate in will have an impact. They are described as being matte, but I detect a sheen to them and consider them to be a more cream finish, and are formulated with shea butter so they feel moisturising on the lips.

Swatchy time. From left to right: Mulberry Smooch (sorry about the typo in the photo below) - dark magenta, Suis Moi - cool toned mauve, Jinxed - brown nude, Candy Crush - sweet pink, Oohlala - the sheerest of them all, pink nude and Virtuous - deep pink. Out of all six shades, and there are 12 in their range altogether, the colours Mulberry Smooth and Jinxed are my favourite. They cost £7 each.

The stand outs for me out of all the lovely products I received have to be the B. Matte Liquid Lipsticks. The two shades I was sent are 1995 and In The Buff. They are £7 each, the packaging is so stunning especially for the price. The colours are gorgeous, these are the shades I would have picked for myself. 1995 is a true slightly warm brown that feels very grungey and 90s. In The Buff is a stunnig nude, dark enough for my medium skin tone. These feel amazing, they aren't drying or sticky. They take a few minutes to set but have some serious staying power. I really love these

Like lipstick, blush isn't my favourite thing to purchase. Again, I tend to go for the same kind of shades. I like neutral or soft blushes that look pretty and natural on my skin. I do like Darl it reminds me of Amaretto from Becca Cosmetics which is the only blush I use. It is like a soft coral matte, super pretty and I imagine it is flattering on everybody. Roses are Red looks intimidating in the pan but it looks like a brighter, more pigmented version of Darl. Both have the same soft texture and both wear for a good four to five hours on my oily skin. These cost £8 each which is higher than I would have guessed, but they feel just as good as high end blushes.

Last two cheek products are the Medium Matte Bronzer and Radiance Peachy Power both £8 each. The matte bronzer is really warm, perfect for giving the skin a sunkissed glow and the medium shade works for my skin tone. They have 3 bronzers available. I am not a fan of the Peachy Powder, only because I don't have a small enough brush to use the shades individually and when swirled together I get a pink shiny hue which is very pretty but not my go-to highlight shade. I am not a huge lover of pans like this but I do think it would make a stunning blush topper and suit paler skin.

These two eyeshadow pigments are both stunning colours. Olive La Vida Loca (£5) is a beautiful true olive with a strong gold shift and Ziggy is a true warm champagne gold. They aren't extremely pigmented which can be a good or a bad thing and I don't think the colours are all that unique. In addition, pigments are messy and I have plenty of eyeshadows that are identical in shade but offer better pigmentation with zero mess so I would pass on these unless you want that cool shift. You could definitely intensify the colour payoff by using a base and really packing it on or wetting them.

Last but not least is this longwear gel eyeliner in Metallic Grey. Not a colour I see myself using much but I am keen to try this in the traditional black because it is creamy but my god is it a tough bitch to get off which makes for a damn good eyeliner. I see myself using the metallic grey as a base rather than an eyeliner. The formula is fantastic. £7 for this and definitely worth getting.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this look at B. Beauty. I recently picked up their Makeup Brush Cleaner Spray as well and have enjoyed using that these past few days. I hope you are enjoying the nice weather and have experienced a great weekend. As always, please leave a comment and check out my social media below. Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin'.
