There is a lot of buzz about the new Sephora Pro Palettes and I can certainly see why. In total, Sephora released 3 palettes: Warm, Cool and Editorial. Unsurprisingly, most people are drawn to the Warm and Editorial Palette and I am no different. Each palette retails for $68 and they have been compared to the Natasha Denona palettes and even Viseart and some Morphe palettes. I do think these comparisons are based on the shade selection and the format and aesthetic of the palettes. There are similarities but I wouldn't consider any of these as dupes for another specific palette in spite of there being some crossover. I would class them as alternatives instead. You get 28 eyeshadows in each palette, 1.2g per shadow which works out as $2.4 per shadow. $68 is approx £52.

Personally I am most excited for the Editorial Palette which is the colourful one. I love how neon and bright some of the shades are and that there is such an impressive array of bright matte colours. You can see swatches of all 3 palettes below. The reviews have shown that there is a lot of fallout with these palettes and that is the biggest drawback. There is also a plastic insert sheet with the names of the shades which is more annoying than anything. If you are going to name the shades, please just put them underneath the actual shadows. Apart from that most shadows swatch incredibly well and perform flawlessly on the eyes. Although, there are some duds in each palette like Brown Sugar in the Warm Palette isn't nearly as smooth and easy to blend as all the other shadows on offer. Please bear in mind these swatches are taken from the Sephora Instagram Page so the likelihood of them showing poor swatches is nil, but at least you get an idea of what the colours look like on the skin.

All in all, I am thrilled with the look of these palettes. The Warm and Editorial Pro Palettes especially attract me, the only problem I have is that there are so many great warm palettes already available like the Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette that I am not in the market to add another warm-toned palette to my collection. The Editorial Palette seems quite unique to me. They are not shadows you see every day and I think for makeup junkies it's a bit of a must-have. In the UK, these are tough to get hold of but if you live in the land of the free then these of course are available at Sephora. Please leave a comment on which palette you favour. Thank you so much for reading. Hope you are having a wonderful week, I am on holiday at the moment so rest assured all your comments will be returned when I am back from Portugal. Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin'. Take care.
