Kim Kardashian's Luxury Skincare Routine. What Are They? |
Kim Kardashian posted this picture you see above on her snap story. I thought it would be interesting to see the products she is promoting and allegedly uses. I mention later that of course whatever celebrities promote there is always a chance they are being paid for posting it whether it is disclosed or not. Additionally, I am in no way suggesting that these products are responsible for her looking the way she does. I am aware she has had numerous treatments and the best dermatologist on speed dial most likely. Even so, I am oddly fascinated with what is on one of the richest women's bathroom shelf. I don't have any personal issues with the Kardashian/Jenner clan, personally I choose not to buy their products because I think they are overpriced and easily duped. Here is a closer look at the 6 products she featured. If this post is not of interest to you, apologies.
Of course KKW has the 16oz bottle of this but you can save some money by purchasing the smaller sizes. This is an after bath moisturiser as the name suggests and claims to quench thirsty skin. It is recommended to use this daily. Who has a bath daily? So I can only assume this can be used post-shower as well. I think I'll stick with Nivea thanks.

Epicuren Kukui Coconut After Bath Moisturiser |
KASHMERE LUXURIOUS TONING OIL ($59/£46)
Another US only product, for now, it sounds a lot like what Bio Oil is supposed to do but prettier. A great smelling oil that you use to tone, moisturise and firm your skin. Helps with stretchmarks, scarring and maintaining youthful looking skin. Khloe Kardashian has dubbed it lipo in a bottle.

Kashmere Collections Luxurious Toning Oil |
LA MER GENAISSANCE SERUM ($630/£425)
This serum is reality's answer to unicorn tears or the blood of a virgin. This will allegedly turn back time and speeds up cell renewal to maintain youth and has other magical properties that will reduce wrinkles and fine lines. The anti-ageing product to end all anti-ageing products. There is also some talk about crystals. Sounds suspect and unbelievable.

La Mer Genaissance Serum |
LA MER THE LIFTING EYE SERUM ($245/£125)
There is only so much you can say about an eye serum. This expensive as hell eye serum claims to lift and rejuvenate the eye area. It contains their trademark Miracle Broth and hopefully helps with crow's feet and sagging. All eye creams claim to do the same thing so I can't say if this one is better.

La Mer The Lifting Eye Serum |
LANCER THE METHOD: NOURISH ($125/£105)
A gentle anti-ageing cream that soothes the skin and protects against environmental factors. You could throw pennies in Sephora and hit seventy moisturisers that have the same exact description. What is most of note is the anti-ageing claim. This cream is suitable for sensitive skin and should be used twice a day. Most likely a good option for fussy, mature, easily irritated skin. You can buy it here for $125 at Nordstrom in the US.

Lancer The Method: Nourish Moisturiser |
TRACIE MARTYN AMLA PURIFYING CLEANSER ($65/£55)
Out of all of the eye-wateringly pricey products this one intrigues me the most. The Amla Purifying Cleanser is an all-natural, cruelty free cleanser that claims to brighten and smooth skin while also minimising pores. Mix three pumps with water and rub hands until it creates a soft lather. MAssage onto face and use twice a day. Tracie Martyn is a New York celebrity facialist and many of her high profile customers are a fan of this product. According to Kesha it is also good at taking makeup off. Out of all the products Kim snapped this is the one I am most likely to try.

Thank you for reading, I am not sure if this post interested you but I was curious so I did a little digging. I love knowing what celebrities use especially celebrities with such a huge platform like Kim. Of course, take their recommendations and candid snaps with a pinch of salt. There is always a possibility that they're being paid to promote products or being sent them in exchange for exposure. Although Kim is clearly filthy rich, who would say no to a free $630 serum? Take care.
What is the most expensive skincare product you ever bought?
I'm quite tuned to look the other way when it comes to anything KKW or any of the K family really. Haha! And thankfully none of these interest me, with their silly price tags. Okay the Lancer is the one I wouldn't mind trying if I'm honest xxx

I feel bad now, I just thought because I know so many skincare junkies this would create an interesting discussion. Sorry if it's not your cup of tea and thank you for reading it anyway! Xx
DeleteIf I won the lotto, maybe I'd spend this sort of money on myself but even then, I doubt it! There's a lot of botox and professional skin treatments used n that face and body too and they probably give more results than these products I'm betting! xx
ReplyDeleteBeautylymin
Definitely, I wish they were more open about that I would love to know more about what treatments are worth investing in than what skincare products they get sent *rolls eyes passionately*
DeleteThe prices are these are just insane!!
ReplyDeleteCandice | Beauty Candy Loves
They are pretty high! Xx
DeleteI'm honestly struggling to think where I've spent the most on skincare. The Estee Lauder serum was around £50 but that was in a set, maybe some Nutrogena creams I ordered from America for around £30, but they actually worked so it was worth it x
ReplyDeleteVelvet Blush
Not bad! I think I have probably spent a little more than I should have on skincare but never this much! Xx
DeleteI'm with Siobhan, the Kardashians have gone through numerous beauty procedures so I doubt their 'natural beauty' is down to using only these products. They are a walking adverts anyway, those brands probably paid a huge ton of money to make an appearance with them.
ReplyDeleteShireen⎜Reflection of Sanity
I know I mentioned that in the post. You have to look at everything with side eye really when it comes to reality stars. Thank you for reading Shireen x
DeleteThat's ridiculous how much it cost! I think I'll stick with Bio Oil!

Effortlessly Sophisticated
Yep!
DeleteWow the price tags of these products are insane!! And I am here waiting for payday and the next great deal from Nivea or Garnier or some kind of discount so I can afford my favourite products haha! xx

Always haha x
DeleteTrue I always wonder about celeb products because you never know if its for promotion or they actually love it, I prefer to go by reviews online, I would spend more for a product if it works for me but I do think you can also get cheaper products that are just as good x

I believe that as well, I think a lot of times people get suckered into buying something based on a celebrity endorsement when that should be at the bottom of the list of things you should consider when you are buying something for yourself x
DeleteJesus lord that is insane amounts of money! I think the most I have spent is about £60 on a night cream, but even then I walked out and wanted to cry! lol
ReplyDeleteErin || MakeErinOver
I am the same, I think the most I have spent is about maybe £40 on a face oil. Which still upsets me actually x
DeleteInteresting products! I like your blog, wanna follow each other?:)ù

Of course, I will check your blog out when I get the chance x
DeleteHaha pretty sure it's not these products but the surgeries that help the Kardashians with their beauty! Thanks for sharing this detailed post :)

I know, I never said that they did. I hope people know that is not what I meant by this post. Of course they have had tonnes of procedures and facials to help maintain youth and their appearance. I just thought looking into the products that she was promoting would be interesting. I enjoyed researching this post at least haha. Thank you for reading Ankita! Hope you are having a great week xxx
DeleteWow, the prices are really high but not surprising for Kim. I'm not really a fan of hers but her skin is gorgeous. Great post! It is interesting to see what she's using. http://www.mrsqbeauty.com
ReplyDeleteWow, you could buy a holiday for the price of her skincare! That said, she looks great, so maybe some of these products are worth it! I found this really interesting, I love to know what celebrities use and wear! x
ReplyDeleteKate Louise Blogs
Wow that is a lot of money but then again skincare is an important aspect and with the amount of money she makes this is probably super cheap for her haha. And her skin does look good so they must work amazingly. x
