HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE | 10 GREAT BEAUTY GIFTS FOR CHRISTMAS

At first my plan was to do a Holiday Gift Guide for specific people like Mum or Dad, and believe me that is coming, but in case you are interested, maybe you have similar taste to me, here are some items I would be happy to receive this Christmas, and by extension most beauty lovers. Personally, I already own a lot of shit so it can be daunting to buy for someone when they already buy everything and get the gift with purchase to boot. So here are some items I don't personally own but would be happy to receive. There is a mix of makeup and skincare as well as some other items that will cater to a variety of budgets.

Huda Beauty New Nude Palette (£56) As a very happy owner of the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette and the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk, I think the New Nude would make a perfect addition to my collection. I really like Huda's eyeshadow formula for both her mattes and shimmers, including the original Rose Gold Palette. The shimmer shades are always so unique that I am never disappointed and with the pinkish mauve colour story this palette will suit so many different skin tones. If you don't have any of the Huda 18-shadow palettes then I recommend Desert Dusk the most out of all of them. The Obsessions palettes are also a great choice and if you want to splurge get The Obsessions Vault (£100) which is currently out of stock but will be in stock soon.

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powders (£28) Perfect for a glam lover with an oilier skin type, honestly I don't wear makeup that often but when I do I want it to last and this is a cake face powder that controls oil and gives you that perfected look. I think it would be a great idea to get two shades, one for brightening and one to set contours, for me that would be Banana Bread and either Cinnamon Bun or Coffee Cake. If you are buying for someone with dry skin I would recommend the Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder (£42) or if you want a glow the Laura Mercier Translucent Glow Powder (£29) is a great option and can also be bought in different shades.

Drunk Elephant The Littles Kit (£71) Of course there are so many skincare sets out at this time of year. but the big news is Drunk Elephant finally coming to the UK. It is an expensive but well-loved brand so this skincare set although pricey would make a nice gift for any skincare lover. People really are investing more into their skincare routines and in this kit you get the Jelly Cleanser (30ml), Lala Retro Whipped Cream (15ml), Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil (8ml), C-Firma Day Serum, TLC Framboos Glyolic Night Serum (8ml), B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum (8ml) and Shaba Complete Eye Serum (5ml). I am sure you have heard of some of these products and if you are put off by the smaller sizes and want to just get a full size product I think the Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil would be a great gift and suitable for all skin types. You can get a 15ml Virgin Marula Oil (£34) or a 30ml Luxury Face Oil (£61).

Anastasia Beverly Hills x Norvina Palette (£43) I have been dithering over this palette for so long, I really think that I spent all of 2017 building my matte eyeshadow collection, and now I am ready for shimmers that will knock my socks off which is why I am drawn to the Huda palettes and the Norvina Eyeshadow Palette in particular. This looks like such an ethereal fun palette to play with that can be used alone as well as with other palettes. So many great shades.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum 30ml (£43.45) Fragrance makes a great gift because more often than not they are expensive af, personally after spending a criminal amount of time in duty free this past week (yay for connecting flights, Madrid was lit thanks for asking) I have found a fragrance that I actually like and that is Black Opium it is actually gorgeous. Apparently this has black coffee in it which I do not smell at all, I hate coffee, what I do smell is vanilla without being too sweet and that is a win for me. I am obsessed. As fragrance can be quite personal I do feel like you can't go wrong with vanilla scents, Huda Beauty launched Kayali Fragrance with her sister Mona Kattan and the fragrance Kayali Vanilla | 28 (£84) would make a great holiday gift for anyone as it is designed for layering. It can be used alone or with other fragrances and the packaging is beautiful.

Stila Enchanted Eyes Liquid Eyeshadow Set (£49) Any of the Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Eyeshadow Sets make a gorgeous glittery gift in my opinion. In this one you get 6 x 2.25ml Liquid Eyeshadows, 3 of which are Shimmer & Glow and 3 which  are Glitter & Glow. You get Diamond Dust (sheer silver multicolour glitter and glow), Smoky Storm (pewter and silver glitter and glow), Plum On (purple glitter and glow - possibly only available in this set), Kitten (vibrant nude pink shimmer and glow), Jezebel (rose gold shimmer and glow) and Pigalle (cranberry shimmer and glow). If you were to buy them individually you would get 4.5ml per product.

Stila Oh My Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Set (£29) In this set you get the classic Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow liquid eyeshadows in Kitten Karma (copper-toned champagne), Gold Goddess (antique gold and silver) and Diamond Dust (sheer silver and multicolour). Great sparkly shades that can be used with any eye look.

Stila Shimmering Heights Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Set (£29) In this set you get Kitten (shimmering vibrant pink nude), Cloud (shimmering lavender with gold pearlescent effect) and Twig (shimmering warm chesnut). These are all Shimmer & Glow shadows, which means it doesn't have the high impact glitter uniquely found in the Glitter & Glow range which some find easier to work with as the glitters can be chunky and crumbly on some people. I advise using a light hand and taking time to play with products to find how they best work for you.

Bdellium Tools Golden Triangle 15-Piece Eye Brush Set (£90) Brushes is a gift that never goes unappreciated because you can quite honestly never have too much. A few brush brands I am typically drawn to are Sigma Beauty, Juvia's Place and Bdellium Tools. I also have a lot of love for Real Techniques as well, but this particular brush set stands out to me because of the royal blue and gold packaging it is luxe and comes with a pouch which is handy for organisation and travel.

Morphe Babes Faves 15-Piece Eyeshadow Brush Set (£52) A new addition I discovered since the Morphe store opened in Birmingham, slightly less expensive with the same amount of brushes as the bdellium tools set, the brushes here are from the Elite Morphe Collection with super soft bristles and some great blending brushes of all sizes. I, for one, would be just as happy with this gift as well. Although not in stock online they were in store when I went to Birmingham yesterday.

The Ouai Swing Both Ouais Haircare Set (£40) Last but not least, I think a haircare set makes a good gift because a lot of us don't typically splurge on our hair. The Ouai is owned and formulated by the icon Jen Atkin, the products used in this set are used and loved by top hairstylists and celebrities alike. Included in this set is The Ouai Texturising Hair Spray which has been in every beauty guru's favourites at least once, this spray creates volume and a cool-girl lived-in look whilst not drying out the hair or making it crunch, and an extra large bottle of The Ouai Hair Oil, i recently learned a trick of applying perfume to the nape of your neck almost on your lower scalp region as when you sweat you will literally sweat perfume. The same can be applied to hair oil in my opinion and you can never have enough. Plus, everyone wants to smell nice and you can smell nice from your hair to your toes with this.

Thank you all so much for reading, I hope you found some good ideas and even some nice treats for yourself. I can say that my Christmas shopping has been derailed by thoroughly treating myself on the hunt for presents for my loved ones. It is tough. I have some ideas for parent gift guides i.e. for Mum and Dad, if that would be interesting for you guys let me know in the comments. What do you think of these gifts, comment your favourite one below and who knows if it is still in stock I might buy it for you as a cheeky little giveaway. Thank you again, have a great weekend.. Take care.

What gift would you like to receive the most?

Love
Kiran
