FENTY BEAUTY | 3 BEST PRODUCTS THAT ARE WORTH THE HYPE

Fenty Beauty impressed everyone and their Tamagotchi when they first launched with an impressive array of foundations, of course they have released a tonne of stuff since then, some I haven't even had the chance to look at but now that this much coveted brand is available in Boots, and has been for a while I thought I would share my top three recommendations. I only wanted to share three because I have been appreciating a more minimalist low-buy approach this past year and I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed or overloaded. By no means will these products be everyone's favourite but I know they have wowed me and so have many other beauty lovers.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Foundation. The original and the best in my opinion, if you have normal to oily skin and especially if you have oily combination skin this is the foundation for you. The finish is semi-matte with an incredible lightweight almost watery texture that feels like nothing on the skin. I prefer to blend this out with buffing brush, you get more coverage and use less product but it also works with a sponge. This foundation lasts for ages and doesn't settle into lines at all, another reason I love it so much is that it pairs well with everything, any concealer, powder, I can mix it with any foundation, and even cream highlights, if I want to tweak the formula slightly, not that you need to, works every single time.

Fenty Sun Stalkr Instant Warmth Bronzer. I really didn't want to like the bronzers, but I went into store recently and had the sales associate try Bajan Gyal on me and the formula is so soft and blends like a dream. It is pigmented without being overly pigmented so is nicely buildable which is exactly the kind of colour payoff I want in a bronzer. It goes without saying that the packaging is gorgeous too, equally the dual highlights are drop dead gorgeous and definitely worth a second look if you are more of a highlight person with a shade available for every mood.

Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Lumiser. Another product I didn't want to believe the hype about because they are so tiny they look like a colossal waste of money, but do not be fooled. These are tiny oddly shaped containers of perfection, It doesn't matter which shade you get, I personally like the first one they released Rosewood as it is quite a warm shade, but it leaves your lips looking lovely and isn't sticky or goopy at all and I love how portable the tube is, you could carry ten at a time if you wanted.

I would love to know your favourite Fenty products, if you have tried anything from the brand, in the comments below. If you haven't tried anything what would you like to try? Please share. Their latest release is their Brow MVP pencils that have been receiving very positive reviews. I am still in Japan at the time of this being published, but will check back and return comments as soon as I can. Thank you so much for reading, it means a lot! Hope you are having a great week. Take care.

What are your favourite products from Fenty Beauty or products you want to try?

SEPTEMBER GOALS

We are already a week into September, notably I feel very different to how I feel typically would feel at the start of a new month which is the predictable *gasp* where has the time gone *shocked expression*. This year, much like last year, has been a complete mixed bag and I have been taking it day by day let alone month by month, and I am ready to move on, every new day, new month, new year is a chance of a fresh start and the potential for things to get much much better. I haven't done a goals post in a while and I find helps me to stay on track and focus on yourself especially when there is a lot going on for you. I am currently in Japan, most likely severely jetlagged. I am frantically trying to get some posts in queue before I fly so I don't feel severely disappointed in myself, really sorry if these suck by the way.

1. Be present. This is something I am sure many people struggle with but I do want to try and enjoy every day and every moment in their own right. Sometimes, I can become fixated on the future, what might happen, what has already happened and know in my heart of hearts that the best thing to do is just live for the now. I start a new job in October and to be quite honest  I am bricking it. So the best thing to do is enjoy what is happening right now, the job I have, the people I love, the good and the bad, worry about tomorrow when it comes. If you worry about something before it happens you put yourself through the same stress twice. Save yourself the stress.

2. Be open to trying new things. I am lucky enough to be spending a fortnight in Japan and I want to squeeze every last drop of it and have no regrets. I am not going there with a concrete plan of course we have an itinerary of sorts and we have key places to explore but I am so excited to get Lost in Japan (Shawn Mendes reference - not sorry).

3. Healthy is happy. I have bad eating habits, particularly when it comes to sweet food and I want to get back on track to eating a healthier, balanced diet with less meat. I am going to make a conscious effort do this and to incorporate more exercise into my daily routine.

4. Friendships. Friends save your life, I have gained and lost friends every year so I want to make a conscious effort to keep people that add to my life in my life even if it is in a really small way, like an email or a quick text. As I mentioned, I am leaving my job and it would mean a lot to me to be able to remain in touch even for a brief while with some of the great people I have met there. In a way it gives me that sense of validation that I am worth knowing and not that easy to throw away, I can take broken friendships personally and it does hurt my feelings to feel like I am not worth knowing to people that I genuinely care about and enjoy spending time with - I would be happy to do a post on this if it is something people might relate to?

5. Blog my little heart out. I definitely want to keep the blogging momentum going, it sounds stupid, but I think it is good for my self-esteem and helps keep me motivated and engaged in my life. I definitely want to do some posts on Japan, I really miss doing my travel posts I have been to so many amazing places in the last few years like Amalfi Coast, Jordan, Marbella, Berlin etc. that it is such a shame that I don't have a post to commemorate them.

Five small, hopefully achievable, goals. Nothing too crazy. There are other things on my mind too, like saving money and not overspending. I can go crazy in the pasta aisle at Sainsbury's during my lunch break and I definitely need to calm down. Please check back in for a post in a few days, I have a bunch of foundation reviews to post but want to make sure I am back on British soil so I can do them when I am not in a rush and am able to take photos properly etc. Thank you so much for reading, I will see you in the next post which will be in a week so Sunday, so come back then. Leave a comment below sharing your goals for September, I would love to read them. Take care.

What are your goals for September?

BEST TONER EVER | TEA TREE & WITCH HAZEL CLEANSING TONING LOTION REVIEW

I have tried many toners with varying success. At the start of my forage into the skincare universe I wasn't sold on the notion of toner in the slightest, but now, years later, it is my favourite step of skincare and the one step that makes the most difference. Some of my all time holy grail favourites being the Alpha H Liquid Gold (full post here), which I adore with undying passion and the Pixi Retinol Tonic (full post here), my favourite out of all the Pixi Tonics to be brutally honest. This can't be the first time I have mentioned the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Cleansing and Toning Lotion (£2.67) but it bears repeating. This is a toner that is less than £3 and is constantly on offer at Boots, it is the only toner that speeds up the process of my breakouts

This is an anti-bacterial toning lotion that contains tea tree oil, which is known to treat acne, and witch hazel which is calming and soothing for the skin. The ingredients are below and here: Aqua (Water), Alcohol denat., Polysorbate 20, Alcohol, Hamamelis virginiana (Witch hazel) distillate, Parfum (Fragrance), Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea tree) leaf oil, Hexyl cinnamal, Limonene, Benzophenone-4, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Linalool, CI 61570 (Green 5), CI 19140 (Yellow 5). If you don't have blemish-prone acne-prone problematic af skin then you can absolutely skip this, this will not be the toner for you and if you have dry skin skip this. As you can see from the ingredients there is alcohol in here and that helps dry out spots, if you have active breakouts or breakouts that are under the surface this is a miracle worker. It turns my spots into their last phase of life overnight where I can destroy them in the morning.

Honestly, the ingredients aren't the best but it is a harsh but effective product. Not to mention affordable. My tips are to not use it every day and to ensure you are using moisturisers, serums or face oils to combat the dryness of this toner and to use it primarily as a spot treatment. I have oily/combination skin where the perimeter of my face and around my eyes are quite dry and I typically breakout around my chin area, I think it is because I touch my face a lot and I really need to stop. So I apply the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Toner on my chin and jawline, I also like to layer it as I read that this makes toner more effective and I have really seen results using this method. Just last night, I was breaking out all over the shop due to my non-existent willpower when it comes to junk food and I did a quick swipe all over the majority of my skin and then again on the dry parts, slather on some aloe vera and the next day I had so many spots that were ready to break free, pun intended. Again, I cannot reiterate enough do not use it every day, it will dry out your skin, use it as a spot treatment a few times a week. It works for me, I don't know if it will work for everybody. If you have any recommendations for someone with my skin type please let me know and if you have any toners you really love please share them with me in the comments. I really like to finesse my skincare routine and I am happy to splurge when doing so. Thank you so much for reading. Take care.

What is your holy grail toner?

5 RECENT MAKEUP LAUNCHES THAT I AM NOT EXCITED FOR FT. KAT VON D MORPHE JEFFREE STAR FENTY BEAUTY

There are a lot of people who feel similarly burnt out by the sheer amount of new products being released every single day, not to mention the new brands that pop up constantly. Have you heard that Millie Bobby Brown is launching a beauty brand, currently known on Instagram as @florencebymills where part of the proceeds go to the Olivia Hope Foundation. I believe Lady Gaga is also coming out with a beauty brand: Haus Labs. It is just a lot. So instead of reviewing and discussing new launches, I thought instead we would take a break from that and I would share launches that haven't peaked my interest and also detail why I, personally, will not be buying them.

This post is not to belittle anybody or any brand, these products are just not to my to taste or are not something I am willing to spend money on for reasons I will explain. If you feel like there are too many releases to keep up with, especially as bloggers or makeup enthusiasts please share your thoughts with me in the comments below. I truly find it exhausting at times, it is crazy that just mere weeks after the Jackie Aina Palette (full post here) was announced the Norvina Vol 1 Palette was announced shortly after. The ABH x Jackie Aina Palette isn't even in UK stores yet!

Kat Von D True Portrait Light Medium Coverage Foundation ($36) The first launch I want to talk about is the True Portrait Foundation. I know there is some controversy regarding Kat Von D and her past. I am not sure how I feel about it all to be honest, I think when people continuously forgive and forget for certain people but can't extend that same courtesy to others it leaves me slightly uneasy. Basing this purely on the product, I rarely pay for high end foundations, I think many affordable brands have created great foundations for my particular skin type, L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte and Maybelline Super Stay Foundation to name just two.

I actually watched Nicole Quinn's Review of the Kat Von D True Portrait Foundation and it does sound quire nice in case you might be interested. It wears really well and most importantly doesn't appear to settle much into fine lines or smile lines. It is a true medium coverage and has a demi-matte finish. You can watch the full video here.

Morphe x Jeffree Star Artistry Palette (£35) Rainbow and colourful palettes are all the rage, I know, but this doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. I understand this is to bring the Jeffree Star's brand at a more affordable price point but I am not interested. Jeffree Star products, from his brand, rarely appeal to me and this is no different. I already have colourful palettes, such as the B Perfect Stacey Marie Carnival Palette  and am happy to mix shades to create the hue that I want.

Fenty Beauty Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil & Styler (£17) I don't do anything to my brows, the only brow product that tempts me is brow gel. The brush here is a little odd to me too, again it is not a product I would spend more money than I have to on. Especially as if you are in a habit of doing your brows often this would be a repeat purchase and rack up quite the expense. There are definitely more expensive products out there such as the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil but equally there are many that are much cheaper such as the NYX Micro Brow Pencil.

Too Faced Tutti Fruity Watermelon Slice Face and Eye Palette ($42) This launch actually upsets me, I adore watermelon, the scent, the taste, the colour, everything. I spend several minutes daily searching for watermelon lip balms and trying to convince myself to buy the Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturiser (£19.50) and Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask (£20.50) from Glow Recipe. The Watermelon Slice Palettes from Too Faced allegedly smell like Jolly Rancher, what the hell is that? Plus, the colours although swatch beautifully are boring to me.

Il Makiage x Carli Bybel Collection ($15-21) Like brows, I can skip on the more expensive lipsticks, lip liners etc. I think the colours, the embossment, the packaging are all stunning. I love Carli Bybel, she is beautiful and kind and I enjoy her content. She comes across as a really genuine person, but like I mentioned these products just aren't something I would go out of my way to purchase as I would get little use out of them. There are plenty of less pricey lip products I love like the NYX Suede Matte Lip Pencils, Morphe Colour Pencils and NYX Butter Glosses.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post. I recently got a lash lift so in a few weeks expect a post on that. This weekend, I am going away but I will have a foundation review up this Sunday. On the 6th September I am going to Japan but I will try my best to have at least one post per week up on my blog while I am absent. I would really appreciate it if you visit back during that time. Hope you are having a wonderful week so far, leave a comment regarding what beauty launches you are interested in and the ones you would pass on. Take care.

What beauty launches do you want and which will you pass on?

NEW ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS JACKIE AINA EYESHADOW PALETTE SWATCHES

Photo via @dano.mu on Instagram
Jackie Jackie Jackie Jackie, the one and only Jackie Aina, one of my favourite YouTubers to watch has released an eyeshadow palette with Anastasia Beverly Hills: ABH x Jackie Aina Palette. I actually went to Selfridges yesterday to see if I could see this palette in person and do some swatches, sadly it is not in the Birmingham store at the moment. I have a great weakness for eyeshadow palettes so as much as I do want this palette, I would like to see it in person first before I take the leap. Also, not to be a petty ass bitch but am I the only one who is noticing that Anastasia Beverly Hills are constantly jacking up their prices, they went from £41 to £43 to now £46, I know I have complained about this before but it bears repeating. I feel like most beauty brands are slyly doing this too, such as Urban Decay and I find it to be a bit underhanded and completely unnecessary, but that is just my opinion. It doesn't effect my opinion of the palette as it has nothing to do with Jackie herself.

Photo via @abhobsession on Instagram
Onto the palette, it retails for £46 as mentioned as is available online and at other online retailers now as far as I am aware. The palette is unique as it was designed for those of us with deeper skin tones in that the shade range is quite rich and deep in tone, there are a lot of beautiful jewel tones in the palette. That being said, there are many gorgeous looks that have been created on people of all skin tones from fair to deep, so the palette is versatile in that sense. From first impressions, I would not consider this to be an everyday palette that will give you neutral soft eye looks like the ABH Soft Glam, this definitely gives you that little something extra to create some eyecatching looks

Photo via @jackieaina Instagram story
Swatches (top row): Soleil (metallic soft peach with a gold shift), Supreme (rosy pink matte), Pinker (cool toned medium plum matte), Big Wig (rich purple matte), Dwollahs (golden olive metallic), Credit (dark plum brown matte) and Lituation (deep taupe with a violet shift metallic).
Swatches (bottom row): Zamn (sparkling rose gold), Wiggalese (cranberry red metallic), Shookington (metallic violet with a blue shift), Trust Issues (sparkling white gold), Edges (deep peach matte), Sponsored (chocolate metallic with a teal shift) and Ginger (caramel brown matte).

Photo via @jackieaina Instagram story - edit @alittlekiran
The swatches are mesmerising and as you can see below where it is swatches on fair skin the colours look beautiful on a myriad of skin tones, it will show up as more dramatic on those with fairer skin which is not a bad thing. The packaging as well is lovely, the two toned holographic packaging with the snake skin is really cool and very Jackie. I don't understand all the shade names but the colours speak for themselves. I don't think I own another palette like this and I am not sure I have many similar colours either, possibly in some of the Juvia's Place palettes I own, but ABH metallics are so unique that I doubt I could dupe the shimmer shades in my own collection, the finish is just unreal. I am drawn to the mattes in this palette as well, Ginger and Credit are beautiful.

Photo via @makeupcheryl on Instagram
Do I think this palette is beautiful? Absolutely! But, do I need it? Sadly no, which is why I wish I could stare at it in person so I could make the decision whether to buy it or not. I faced a similar dilemma when the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette was released, seeing it in person and swatching the shades that interested me the most made me realise that I wouldn't get much use out of it so I was able to pass on the palette and still sleep easy. I am still on the fence about this one, if I didn't own a large amount of eyeshadow palettes I would pick it up in a heartbeat. The fact that I don't use the palettes much especially makes me hesitant. Let me know in the comments what you think, will you pick this up? What is your favourite ABH palette? I am aware this is limited edition so will have to decide sharpish whether I get this or not. I hope you are having a great week so far. Visit my blog back on Monday for a foundation review. Thank you for reading. Take care.

Will you be getting the ABH x Jackie Aina Palette?

NEW | HUDA BEAUTY LIFE LINER IN VERY VENTA & OMG MAKEUP REMOVER BALM

Huda Beauty is launching a brand new eyeliner, it was just announced on her YouTube video (scroll to the end of the post to see the full video). The eyeliner is dual-ended with a liquid liner on one side, reminiscent of the NYC and NYX liquid liners with a brush tip, and a pencil eyeliner on the other side. Both are very matte and very black and boast a minimum of 40 hours wear. The colour is Very Venta which means the blackest black, the kind of black that absorbs like, black hole kinda black.

With the liquid liner side being a brush tip it is unfortunately not ideal for beginners. Huda states that is more for intermediate level eyeliner wearers as it can be slightly more difficult to finesse. It is a water free formula. Besides that, it is alleged to be sweat-proof, smudge proof, humidity proof, waterproof and lifeproof

To the point where Huda has even released her own makeup remover the OMG Makeup Remover Balm as a sister product as it is that difficult to remove. The OMG Makeup Remover Balm is enriched with cherry blossom extract and melts your makeup away leaving you with soft clean skin. She also released a new set of lashes, but I am not that excited about lashes.

The pencil side, unlike the liquid liner, only lasts for about eight hours which is still good but is not the same as the liquid liner side. It has a creamy black formula which is smudge proof and contains silicone resins which keeps it in place. Both sides give you a precise application and long wear.

The eyeliner will retail for $25, unfortunately I don't know how much it will cost in GBP at this moment in time. It will be available to purchase on September 12th and September 18th at other online retailers.

I am definitely a beginner when it comes to eyeliner, so I don't think this product is aimed at me. Nor do I think I would ever need an eyeliner that stays for almost two full days. I do think that it looks beautiful on Huda and I really enjoyed watching her video on it. I will be curious to see the reviews and see if it beats out people's holy grail liners or if it is just hype, but for now this will be a pass for me.

Furthermore, I would love to know what the OMG Makeup Remover Balm smells like as I know typically Huda Beauty products are heavily fragranced. Thank you all for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post. Comment below what your current favourite eyeliner is and if you are tempted to try this new product. Hope you are having a great week. Take care.

REVIEW | SOAP & GLORY ULTIMELT DEEP PURIFYING HOT CLOTH CLEANSER

I am so excited to start blogging again, so I hope you all welcome me back with open arms, let;s skip all the excuses shall we and just jump in to the post. Cleansers are the skincare product I seem to run out of the quickest, I feel like I am always in need of a cleanser. Fortunately, I have been sent a lot of cleansers in PR that seem to do the trick but none of them for me were worth a repurchase. I really enjoy a balm for when I am in full makeup as it really breaks every product down, but for every day I don't need a cleanser that is that hardworking. For the past two months, I have been using the Soap & Glory Ultimelt Deep Purifying Hot Cloth Cleanser (RRP £10, currently £6.67 at Boots) to find out how it has been working for me, keep reading.

Hot cloth cleansers have been around for a while, I have tried several including Liz Earle and No 7. The concept is great, but once I found the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm* (RRP £25, currently £19.95 at allbeauty.com) I didn't look back. I want a product that can do it all, without a cloth that needs regular washing. Although the Soap & Glory Ultimelt comes with a cloth, I personally don't use it. On a daily basis I don't wear mascara, my makeup is usually quite simple but I do still need a cleanser that will take off my foundation, concealer, powder and bronzer, cream cleansers work perfectly for this as they are super gentle and nice on the skin and take off the majority of my makeup. Finding an affordable cream cleanser has been on my bucket list for a while, so I am definitely pleased to have found the Ultimelt.

The Ultimelt contains orange, lavender, clary sage, rose and geranium oils along with cocoa seed and sweet almond butter oils, which taken together sound like actual heaven. Full list of ingredients here: Aqua (Water/Eau), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter Oils, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Esters, Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Synthetic Beeswax, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, Linalool, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Pantolactone, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil. It is recommended to apply a grape sized amount and work it over your face for at least 2 minutes. Truthfully, I will massage it onto my face for around 60 seconds and that seems like more than enough time for me.

I give the Soap & Glory Ultimelt a 5 star rating, it smells delicious and feels creamy and beautiful on the skin, the packaging is really easy and simple to use. You get a lot of product, I have been using it daily for over two months and haven;t even got halfway through the product. It gets off most of my makeup, I still go in with an additional cleanser to ensure that everything is off my skin, I am a firm believer in the two-step cleanser movement and will be talking about my second cleanse in a future post. Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed, I do think the Ultimelt Cleanser is on the repurchase list, best daily cleanser I have tried. Comment your favourite cleanser below. Hope you are having a great week so far, come back on Wednesday for a new post.

What are your favourite cleansers?

URBAN DECAY NEW STAY NAKED WEIGHTLESS LIQUID FOUNDATION PHOTOS ALL SWATCHES & COMPARISON TO NAKED SKIN FOUNDATION

Urban Decay have recently come out with their Stay Naked collection, within this collection there are two new complexion products including a brand new foundation and concealer and to top it off new Vice Lip Chemistry Lasting Glassy Tints. Every single product in this collection is vegan and cruelty free. The majority of this post will focus on the foundation as I think that is what most people are interested in. The Stay Naked Correcting Concealer (£20) is a demi-matte concealer, which re available in 25 shades, described as being highly pigmented and full coverage with up to 24 hour wear, it has a unique wave tip applicator just like the foundation. You get 10.2g or 0.35oz of product.

The Vice Lip Chemistry Lasting Glassy Tints are available in 12 shades and retail for £19 each. A lightweight but long-lasting lip tint that reacts to the pH level of your lips to create a custom shade. It claims to feel balm-like and nourishing on the list with up to 12 hour wear, which is quite a high claim indeed. The shades are very pretty and range from a lavender purple to your rosy nudes, with something to suit everyone's tastes. Personally, lip products rarely intrigue me.

Now what everyone is most curious about: the foundation. The Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation comes in a flabbergasting 50 shades with quite a balanced, even spectrum of shades that are divided into shade intensities, master tones and undertones. You get 30ml of product which is fairly standard for a foundation, it claims to provide all day up to 24 hour wear, a real skin matte finish, waterproof formula and to be pore-minimizing. I really like the package, it comes with a pump in a beautiful bottle, I definitely appreciate the shade range. It sounds like the midway point between the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation and the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation.

Leesha (xsparkage) compared the Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation to the Naked Skin foundation on her channel - see her video below. Stay Naked is a more matte, longwearing foundation. She really liked the concealer which is worth noting although it is not as full coverage as other concealers like Tarte Shape Tape or Jouer Essential High Coverage Concealer. I think for those of us with oily skin and a preference for matte, long-wearing foundations the new foundation will be a hit. I know on the Urban Decay website they offer different recommendations for application depending on skin type i.e. oily or dry and preference of finish i.e. light or medium coverage. The foundation is medium coverage and from Leesha's video (see below) not as buildable as I prefer whereas the Naked Skin foundation is quite luminous. The Stay Naked Concealer looks really nice and I would love to see what that looks like all over the face.

Overall, my thoughts are skeptical, I am starting to really appreciate more affordable foundations. I think L'Oreal, Maybelline and Makeup Revolution all do great foundations. There are a few high end foundations that I am eager to try, specifically the Nars Natural Radiant Longwear which unfortunately does not have a shade to suit my skin tone which is incredibly frustrating so I reiterate I really appreciate the shade range. I would also be keen to try the Cover FX Power Play foundation which is used a lot by Alyssa Ashley who has the skin of dreams, this foundation is stunning and comes in over 40 shades I believe. Apart from those though it takes a lot for me to want to buy a foundation over £30 as there are so many good quality affordable foundations out there. I would love to know what you guys think, are you thinking of buying anything from the Stay Naked collection? Let me know in the comments below and share your current favourite beauty products as I am always looking for recommendations. Hope you are having an amazing week. Take care.

What are your thoughts on the new Stay Naked collection?

PERFUME THAT LOOKS LIKE LIPSTICK | CACHAREL YES I AM EAU DE PARFUM

Image via Kaushal GRWM video
I found out about this gorgeous new fragrance through Instagram and good old YouTube, namely through Kaushal's recent video (see photos above, watch full video here). The Cacharel Yes I Am Eau de Parfum Spray is a perfume that looks like a lipstick, considered a must-have for makeup lovers everywhere, which would look ridiculously cute on anyone's vanity.

Of course, perfume is not just about how aesthetically appealing the packaging is but also what does Cacharel Yes I Am Eau de Parfum Spray smell like? This cute fragrance is described as being oriental, which I truly do not know what is meant by that. It combines fruity top notes including mandarin and raspberry with a heart, by which I think are the base notes, of white floral accords, possibly jasmine, on a base of milk and sandalwood. A "fun and flirty fragrance".

Image via Gordons Direct
Typically I don't go for a floral fragrance but I really do enjoy a fruity note and mandarin and raspberry sound brilliant. My preference is for sweeter fragrances usually with vanilla notes in it, but this does sound really nice, so I can see why it is so popular. For Cacharel Yes I Am Eau de Parfum Spray the tops notes of the fragrance are mandarin, raspberry and cardamom (I love cardamom); the heart notes (medium or in-between notes) are ginger flower, jasmine and gardenia. I truly did not know there was such a thing as a ginger flower, but I love the smell of ginger. Ginger tea and cardamom tea are my favourite types of tea, so I will be picking up Cacharel Yes I Am Eau de Parfum Spray as it sounds right up my street. Base notes are milk and sandalwood, as mentioned, I have never heard of milk as being a base note for a fragrance, is this a common thing? Sandalwood is not my favourite base note but I prefer it to musk.

Overall, I think this fragrance would make such a great gift and on top of that is the most Instagram worthy perfume in the history of the world. Comment your favourite fragrance below, I was just looking for a new fragrance now that my Mon Guerlain perfume has run out which I adored and was quite taken with the Jean Paul Gautier Scandal Eau de Parfum Spray, the top notes for this fragrance are blood orange and grapefruit, middle notes are honey and gardenia and the base notes are patchouli which is one of my favourite base notes for a fragrance. Whilst I was there I found a great fragrance for men too, the Paco Rabanne 1 Million for men is such a good fragrance. The notes are as follows, top notes are grapefruit, mint and blood mandarin, heart notes are cinnamon, rose and spice and base notes are leather, amber and patchouli. You can see why I like this fragrance.

Thank you for reading, please let me know what perfumes you like for yourself, for men, for gifts. Perfume and fragrance are so personal, I would love to hear your favourite notes etc. as well. I hope you have had a great weekend so far. Wishing you a fantastic week ahead. Take care.

What are your favourite fragrances?
